Torrington Titans To Support VNS
TORRINGTON—The Torrington Titans of the Futures League will support the work of Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut by donating admissions and raffle proceeds
from their July 6 game against the Wachusett (MA) Dirt Dawgs. The contest is slated to begin at 7:05 p.m. at Fuessenich Field on Coe Place. Tickets are $5 for
adults, $3 for children under 12.
Visiting Nurse Services (VNS) is the area’s oldest and largest provider of skilled home health and hospice services. VNS, a nonprofit organization, originated in
1909 in Bridgeport and began serving Litchfield County in 1988. The agency and its more than 100 employees services more than 1,200 area patients each year from its
offices on Commercial Boulevard . Proceeds from the July 6 baseball game will be use to underwrite the cost of providing home health and hospice services for
Torrington area residents who have little or no health insurance.
